Proof · not a prompt

In the age of AI, someone took the time to draw every frame.

No generator. No animation software. Shapes, lines and colours placed by hand in a desktop-publishing program, then nudged a few pixels and saved again, and again, over years. The care is the point. Children can feel it.

Meet the author

That someone is Valerie Nelson.

Valerie writes the stories and draws the films, one frame at a time, in Microsoft Publisher. What you see on this page is years of patient, hand-made work, made so children can learn who God is and how much He loves them.

How it's made · 27 frames

One second of film. Twenty-seven drawings.

This is a real sequence from God and the Shapes: Triangle and Square jump for joy at a party. Slow it down, scrub through it, or switch on onion skin to see what moved between drawings.

  1. 01

    Draw it

Every character, sky and hill is built in Microsoft Publisher from basic shapes, lines and fills. No illustration app.

  2. 02

    Nudge it

To make something move, copy the page and shift an eye, a hat or a hand by a few pixels. Save the frame. Repeat.

  3. 03

    Sequence it

Hundreds of still frames are lined up and timed into scenes, so a blink or a jump plays back as motion.

  4. 04

    Tell it

The story is read aloud from a script with colour-coded speaking parts, then music and sound bring it home.

Why this mattersA machine can make a picture in seconds. It can't love the child watching. Each of these frames was made by someone who does.
